Day after day 

And another year has faded away 

Another chapter is over 

But every place I've been to left a mark on me

Trying to put the bits together and break

If you get no sunlight you'll learn to walk in the rain 

And if you survive in the darkness, you'll find the light

There are ghosts that say you will fail 

You have to hold on every day

I go out into the world 

I'm reaching out for my boundaries 

Breaking the bars of the cage and learning to fly 

Wind can blow me away, but it's always me who chooses the way 

When they don't match my taste, I sail against the tide

There are games they want me to play 

I have to be strong to guard my hill
